question about widescreen dvd's

HAHA. You better save that TV you and Beast have. Its one of the last rear projections ever from Sony. They are stopping production on RPTV. Only flat panels from here on out for Sony.

Nope. They are going to just do LCD and apparently are trying to come up with a new flat panel design.

HTF are they going to compete when all of their LCD's are priced too high?

agreed, they are wayyyyy too pricey. Unless I was going to play video games, I wouldnt even go the route of an lcd anyway.

I believe they are trying to create a new type of format for flat panels. I don't know what it is going to be though. The SXRD is very nice, but it seems like a lot of people are liking the aspect of not having to replace a bulb on the Samsung LED DLP.

Sony is really going to have to cut prices to maintain their market share. Even the small Bravia's are out of sight (which can be said for pretty much every damn LCD on the market).
